Letting go of Lisa

This young adult book is by an author who writes about teens and children who have illnesses. Tumors, cancer, etc. In this book Lisa has Glioma (which is a type of brain tumor). Her mom and her mom's livein boyfriend are letting her do here thing. No curfews and things like that letting her live out the few months that she knows she has left. In the beginning she drives her Harley and doesn't care if she misses a few classes here and there. Unitl she meets Nathan(or Nathan almost hits her in the school parking lot). She changes with the love from Nathan and they make it through her difficult time together. Of course this is a tear jerker. Lurlene McDaniels books are. But when you go from reading vampire books and horror and killing, she is a good break from it all. She really makes you feel like you know the people with these diseases. Even if you don't read this particular book read one of hers.

I want to start of by saying (WOW) and i cried like a little baby. This book touched me, my mouth hung open through the whole thing. I can not believe what the girl in this book had to go through. I know that there are but i still can't believe that there are jerks out there that do these things and dont seem to mind it at all, as long as they are getting the money and the pleasure. I was very upset and very ticked when i got done reading this book, i wanted to jump in the book and beat them all up. I recommend this book. To me it is the journey of a girl who survived, who had the worst possible and made it. That is all i can say

The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod

This was a very good young adult book. It has to do with a 8th grade Vampire boy. Who basically at times think Vampires suck. lol He is being brought up by his aunt Nelly, for his Vampire father and his human mother have been killed in a fire. He does not feed off of humans his aunt brings blood bags from the hospital that she works for. He slowly as the book goes on starts to learn about his powers and realizes that he is being followed by another vampire. He is accompanied by his friend Henry (which he bit when they were 8). Henry is not a vampire but Vladimir is now able to read his thoughts. This book is not gory by any means so, if you enjoy reading vampire books this would be a great young adult book to read.
