Beanball

This was a new ya book. It was really good. It was a short quick read and would be perfect for those who dont mind sports to much, and dont really like to read that often. The teen in this book i feel so bad for, his life comes to a complete stop. I also love the way the book was written, not really in poetry form, but it was told by several different points of view. Was a very good sports book everyone should read it.

Skin

This book was written from 14 yr. old Donnie's view. (Or whatever the word would be). His sister Karen has an eating disorder, she is anorexic. They go through the book with her in the hospital a couple of times, their father moving out and only coming around when he feels like it. Making trouble when he does. Their mom trying to get Karen to eat and keep up with the house, and trying to start back work again. Donnie is slowly watching his sister slip away, trying everything he can to make her better. This was a really good book, a little bit of a tear jerker towards the end. Im sure you would really enjoy it if you only gave it a chance.
